Steve Pouchie has been playing the Vibraphone in
New York City venues for many years. Never formally trained, he began to
study music while in college. Upon graduating he played with various
ensembles. but after some time settled down to playing what was
closest to his heart, Latin Jazz.
For Steve, music became a BRIDGE, a
suspension between the urbanized material world and another inner
place of solace, rhythm and melody. His new CD 'El Puente' explores
the ideas that have come to define his musical style.
